#this moment is so important and no one ever talks about it#i mean everyone knows this show has distinct feminist themes#its a show about women who have no rights to their own bodies#but this was so heartbreaking because its sarah coming to terms with what she has control over#and it’s nothing#and paul tells her she’s ‘changed the game’ as if her life was something others could play with#something that others /were/ playing with#and its not just her its cosima and helena and alison and all of the other clones#none of them have the right to determine what happens to them#and i think thats something all women understand#and that’s why if you’re not watching this show you should be (via felison)
#suddenly very upset l ol o l ol o lo l#cosima represents the optimistic path that if you’re pleasant intellectucal and passionate your individuality might give you freedom#alison represents the submissive path that if you’re polite nonconfrontational and compliant the amount of freedom you get will be enough#and sarah represents the independent path#and the absolutely infuriating thing is that no matter what path no matter if you go about or go along with or go against#you’re still just a female that must either be condescended or controlled or exploited#you’re just someone’s property #and you don’t have a choice#so much more than a show and bye (via mslny)
