She’ll learn that the semen in the ejaculate will render her vulnerable to pregnancy so she will have to protect herself by using a hormonal or a barrier contraceptive. Hormonal contraception is preferable because barrier methods such as condoms, while safer for women, apparently reduce sensation for men which is obviously a no-no. It’s much better that a woman take a pill every day for her entire reproductive lifespan, or get a painful injection every 12 weeks, or have a copper rod inserted into her uterus, or a silicone rod implanted into her arm. She probably won’t learn that 3 out of 4 women never orgasm from vaginal intercourse. She almost definitely won’t learn how women do achieve orgasm. She’ll learn her place as a receptacle.”

#i’ve always been a huge geek #and so when i was curious about sex #i did what any geek would do #i went to library and got every book about sex i could find #this was in the early days of the web#so this shit wasn’t in a wiki #and i read and read tons about this #and i was so disappointed by our sex ed at school #and i found i knew more about sex when i was 16#and not having any sex #then my friends who were having sex #i don’t think any of them knew where their clit was #and it would make me so sad when they would come to me and tell me #how much they weren’t enjoying sex #and i had to listen to horror stories #about the pain and pregnancy scares #and these girls didn’t have the agency in their own sexuality to ask their boyfriends to do things to them #and it would literally make me angry #because at 16 i knew it was such bullshit #that women were taught just to be the receptacle for the penis #that is it #don’t get pregnant #we hope it isn’t painful #and maybe you’ll enjoy it eventually #fuck that shit #and it makes me even sadder that i’ve spoken to women in the 20s and 30s #who still have trouble asking for what they want in a sexual relationship
